How to unzip a file
- STEP 1
Choose your ZIP
Drop it here. Nothing is uploaded, so even a large archive opens immediately.
- STEP 2
Extract
The archive is read and every entry decompressed in the browser.
- STEP 3
Download what you need
Grab individual files, or take everything at once.
What survives, and what does not
Original filenames and contents
Every file, verified against its stored checksum
Folder structure is flattened on download
Encrypted archives need the password, which is not supported yet
Honest limits are published on every tool page. If a tool cannot do something well, it says so here rather than letting you find out after the download.
Unzip a file questions
Can I open a RAR or 7z file here?
Not yet — this tool handles ZIP. RAR and 7z need a different decompressor, which is on the list.
Can I open a password-protected ZIP?
Not currently. Encrypted archive support is planned; when it lands, the password will be handled entirely on your device like everything else.
Is there a size limit?
No fixed limit. Because everything happens in your browser, the constraint is available memory rather than an upload cap.
Can I look inside without extracting?
Yes — use "List archive contents", which reads the table of contents and writes nothing.
